Rough Riders Team

Our Team members are Shanta Pinpin, Sami Awad, and Pauline Malanao. Our group name is the “Rough Riders”. Sami is deciding on creating an instrument called the drum.  DRUM he will be getting his supplies at home.
• empty oatmeal box with cover
• yarn
• pen
• 2 pencils
• 2 spools
• construction paper
• crayons
Pauline will be making a XYLOPHONE or a MARIMBA! 
• tall glasses or jars
• water
• mixing spoon
Fill the glasses or jars with different amounts of water. The more water in the glass, the lower the pitch will be. Having less water in the glass or jar will raise the pitch.
& how we will play we can mix the water by mixing it with a spoon
A marimba: - pipes, wood, plastic; an example would be in Mr. Tillay class.

Shanta will be making a GUITAR! 
• empty shoe box
• rubber bands
• ruler or stick
Remove the cover from the box. Stretch the rubber bands around the box. Attach the ruler or stick to the back of the box on one end to act as the arm of the guitar.
To play, strum or pluck the rubber bands.

Shanta would buy wood and metal equipment for her instrument. She will be buying these supplies at home depot.
- We believe our group will make a great team with the instruments we are going to build. 
